Academic Hoods
Academic hoods are some of the common items during a gradation ceremony. The use of the hood was initially reserved for baccalaureate ceremony although this is no longer the case. Many academic institutions now use the academic hoods to identify not only their degrees but also themselves. For this usage to be accomplished, different colors are used to denote different degrees.
